ろくろ成形用白磁坏土の開発

 本研究は、現在のろくろ成形用坏土の焼成色を白くし,ろくろ成形による手作りならではの様々な加工を施すことで,高品質で高付加価値のある商品を作ろうという業界の強い要望により,ろくろ成形用白磁坏土の開発を行った。目標として(1)ろくろ成形が可能,(2)耐火度がSK26〜27,(3)白色度が75以上を挙げ開発を行い,試作段階として目標とする坏土が完成した。

Development of White Porcelain Bodies for Jiggering

This research involved whitening the firing color of existing bodies for jiggering, and by using various processes used in the production of handmade thrown ceramics, developed white porcelain bodies in response to a strong demand on the part of the ceramics industry, which wants to make high-quality product with high added value. We were able to achieve our objective of developing porcelain bodies for which (1) jiggering is possible, (2) fire resistance is SK26-27 and (3) whiteness is 75 or higher in the unglazed state, and carried out trial production.
