　無鉛和絵具の開発

　本研究の目的は，これまで九谷焼に無かった透明感を持つ無鉛赤絵具の開発である。
　九谷焼で使用されている赤絵具は酸化鉄(Fe₂O₃)を使用しているため不透明なものであった。本研究では，無鉛フリットに金微粒子を着色剤として使用することで，透明感を持つ無鉛赤絵具を開発することができた。

　Development of Lead-free Overglaze Color

The purpose of this study is develop a clear lead-free red overglaze color something that Kutani-ware has not had until now. The red overglaze color that has been used up until now in Kutani-ware is opaque because of iron oxide(Fe₂O₃) that it contains. In this study we developed a clear lead-free red overglaze color by using fine gold particles for the lead-free frit used as a colorant.
